The Dark Elves (Älfeneel or Harudheeniksa in the Dark Elvish language) are a species native to the realm of Svartalfheim. They are enemies to the Asgardians, and antagonists in Thor: The Dark World.
Dark Elves have pointy ears and most of them are seen wearing masks. Dark Elves are now presumed to be endangered or extinct as a species in the movie universe.
